Photo of Maryam Sayyad and Gelareh Khoie from their childhood in Iran.

We met in Tehran, Iran three years into the Islamic Revolution then immigrated to the United States while still young girls, turning back to look at a country choking under the black veil of worn-out myths and old hatreds. Decades later, rather than turn to salt, we’re inspired to put our collective experience in service to the adoration of our beautiful, kaleidoscopic, archetypal cosmos.

This is a photo of Maryam Sayyad, one of the Founding Mothers of Kosmos Institute.
